Sequoia National Park

Park #2 on my exciting exploration of California. I didn’t spend long here but I got some pretty cool pictures to show for it! There was a fire and you could still see the damage it did to these incredible trees. Driving through the grove the trees were tall but it wasn’t until I got out and saw one of these monsters that I understood how big they really are!

As the sign mentioned this tree is by volume the third largest in the world! 268 feet tall!

Here is a famous tree tunnel! It was like a graveyard for trees.

This tree was very slowly undermined by a small stream. If you learn nothing else from visiting national parks – it is that water can do some pretty spectacular things.

Here was my campsite for the night! I also drove and hiked a little in Kings Canyon then came back here to stay! There was definitely a black bear wandering this campground that night because I heard a few campsites scream when they noticed it! Luckily I had all my stuff in my bear box πŸ™‚DSC_0190

I saw so little of this park due to time constraints I will definitely be back to do some more exploring!
