Big Bend National Park

Park number three from my trip was Big Bend. This one was especially fun for me because I got to reconnect with a good friend from high school! She drove all the way over from San Antonio and for the record while it looks close Texas is massive!! She drove like 8 hours one way to see me – so shout out to you Nicole!!

We camped in a small town called Terlingua at an RV Park. We drove into the park in the early morning and had decided on the Lost Mine Trail. It was about 4.8 miles round trip and 1300 ft of elevation gainDSC_0142

The views on the way up were breathtaking. Here are a few

Then of course the view from the top of the trail which takes the cake.

Took this one with someone in it for scale! The cliffs were high. Luckily Nicole and I both share the perfectly reasonable terror of heights and agreed to take all pictures a safe distance from the edge 🙂

Once we got back down we had lunch and checked out the Window.

All in all LOVED this park. I feel like a missed a lot here so this one has been ear marked for a second trip! As a bonus here are a few artsy pics.
