Grand Teton National Park

The VERY first thing I saw when coming in to this park was a GRIZZLY BEAR! I had never seen one before in the wild so naturally I was ecstatic. Especially because I got to see it not far from my car and I didn’t have to be too worried about being attacked. There were plenty of other people there taking pictures who were definitely slower runners than me.

I had my sights set on hiking to inspiration point across Jenny Lake so I continued on my trip to get to the visitors center. Stopped along the way a few times to admire the views.

This next image I took as we were taking a boat ride across the lake. I love the rainbow at the bottom.

This next wildlife sighting was up close and personal! I heard this moose at the last possible second and scrambled away and it came out of the brush and onto the hiking path. She was enormous!

I finished my hike over to the falls – but a bunch of the other trails were closed 😦 I didn’t have the energy to hike all the way back around and up into the canyon so I headed back to check out some of the other iconic views of the mountains.

This look out was breathtaking. This photo looks just like a screen saver – and I will likely be using it as one!

Towards the end of the time the air started getting pretty smokey due to some wildfires in the area. I was a bit bummed because it did make my pictures look worse, but I was glad I got so many before the smoke rolled in!

I will definitely be coming back to this park. I only spent about half a day here, and I would like to spend at least a long weekend. Many trails left to explore.
