This was my adventure made possible by first Zippy and Baps and second my dad and step mom! I got to go right before I started at NG! I had just graduated grad school and was consequently poor, waiting to start my new job and had some time to burn. My dad let me use a bunch of his Southwest points to fly out to Arizona to visit my grandparents. They took me ALL OVER the state. One of our stops was Saguaro National, and since we didn’t spend a ton of time here I’ve thrown in some pics I took from a nature walk because I got some cool pictures of the native cactus. Here they are below.

This is a dead one! So cool looking on the inside

Here were some pictures I snagged while driving through the actual national park! Some pretty amazing vistas!

One of my favorite things to see in Arizona was how much the vegetation changes with elevation. When driving on one stretch from Phoenix to Flagstaff I saw the point at which these cacti started and stopped. It was very neat!
As another bonus we also visited the Sonora Desert Museum. Here are some cool pictures from that!
